Would You Like To Watch Your Kilt Being Made?
If you have never heard of Skype you should look into it. Skype is a small program that is free to download to your computer from the web. With it you can make free phone calls right from your computer to anyone else who also has it on their computer. If you have a webcam you can make video calls.
Here at Freedom Kilts we started to use Skype about 6 months ago. It has been great to be able to actually see our customers, to talk to them for free when they have a question or just want to chat to their Kiltmaker.
I find myself at least twice a week demonstrating proper measuring.
Another thing we have found fun is to have a customer be able to look at the actual fabric for their kilt and watch as I try different pleating ideas. Most people have never seen a single piece of Tartan fabric being pleated to both the Sett and to the Stripe side by side. So the customer can then get a really good idea of what their kilt will look like and make up their own mind how they want it done.
